Quiz scope

Knowledge that survives the next ranking update

This quiz tests stable, explainable facts rather than a snapshot of who is number one today. The set starts with two official game features, then moves through the people and roles behind well-known community Demons. It finishes with an early piece of Demon history and the purpose of Pointercrate's Main List.

That boundary is deliberate. A current rank can move after a list update; a creator-verifier relationship normally does not. A fact can still be corrected by its source, but the question should not become wrong simply because another level enters the list tomorrow.

Game basics

Practice Mode and the level editor come from RobTop's official Steam listing, not a fan summary.

Role discipline

Bloodbath, Bloodlust, Tidal Wave, Sonic Wave, and Cataclysm show why creator, host, contributor, publisher, and verifier are different labels.

History, not rank

demon park and Pointercrate questions test what happened or what a list does, not a position that can change.

Role guide

A creator is not automatically the verifier

In a simple solo project, the same player can build, publish, and verify a level. Famous Demons often have a more complicated chain. A host coordinates a collaboration. Contributors build named sections. A publisher uploads the final level. A verifier completes the required version. Those roles can overlap, but a good factual answer names the overlap instead of pretending the labels mean the same thing.

Bloodbath's history is a useful example: Riot hosted and verified the mega-collaboration, while a roster of creators contributed sections. Sonic Wave has a different complication because the historical story separates Cyclic's creation and illegitimate verification from Sunix's recognized legitimate verification.

Cataclysm is more complicated still. Ggb0y is its creator, while the history includes a hack-verified original, disputed early completions, and Riot's later verification of the updated version. The quiz therefore asks the clean creator question and explains the verification boundary after the answer.

RoleWhat it means hereCommon mistake
Creator / contributorBuilds the level or a credited section.Giving one host credit for every collaborator's work.
HostCoordinates a collaboration and its contributors.Assuming “host” always means solo creator.
VerifierCompletes the version accepted for release or rating.Treating a verifier as the creator without evidence.
PublisherUploads or releases the level under an account.Assuming the uploader built every section.

Question policy

Why the explanations matter more than the final score

Each answer explanation identifies the precise role or relationship being tested and links to the page used for checking it. Official product features use the Steam listing. Community-level identities use the Official Geometry Dash Wiki. The definition of Pointercrate's Main List comes from Pointercrate itself.

We deliberately exclude live list positions, download totals, like counts, and “current hardest” claims. Those values can move. We also avoid forcing a single verifier label onto a level with a disputed or multi-stage verification history. If the evidence needs a paragraph of qualifications, the question should either preserve those qualifications or test a simpler stable fact.

Geometry Dash Demon quiz FAQ

Is the Geometry Dash Demon quiz free?

Yes. The 10-question quiz runs locally in the browser and does not require an account, payment, or leaderboard profile.

Does the quiz use current Demonlist rankings?

No. Rankings change. The question set focuses on stable facts such as creator and verifier roles, historical relationships, and what the Pointercrate list is for.

What is the difference between a creator and a verifier?

A creator builds or contributes to a level. A verifier completes the version required for publication or rating. One person can hold both roles, but the terms are not synonyms.

Are creator credits simple for mega-collaborations?

Not always. A mega-collaboration can have a host, publisher, verifier, and many section contributors. The quiz explanations preserve those distinctions instead of assigning every part to one name.

Does DashedUp save my Demon quiz score?

No. The score exists only in the page component while you use it. There is no account, upload, public ranking, or saved result.

Can I play a Demon level from this page?

The quiz itself is not a playable level. Its play section links to a separate browser-play page and clearly avoids claiming that the exact quiz subject is included.
